The vets on this team are bums. They got done in January. Apparently five months later they still need a vacation. It's amazing.

Was Ponder playing defense?? I hope nobody gets hurt screwing around. Maybe this, and no contract is why the others bailed.

there's a reason why this team went 6-10. there isn't heart or dedication to team. I understand Percy and adrian because those 2 showed up every Sunday last year when they were healthy. Sidney owes his "entitlement" to Brett Favre. He was nothing before and has missed more games than he's played. Shiancoe isn't interested in anything but his sats. Booker? who is he? This isn't a football team. It's veterans who rested on their career laurels and achievements to think that they could just go through the motions and make it to the Super Bowl. Look at the champs!!! They bonded around Rodgers when Brett Flake left. This group of guys don't/won't do that to the one who needs them.....that says a lot. I'm staring 4-12 right in the face this year and Adrian will be gone.

Not that Ponder is Tom Brady. He's a rookie in the eyes of the vets. But Brady gets 40 Patriots to practice together. The Vikings get, what, 6-7 rookies and Camarillo? Maybe it doesn't mean anything. Maybe it speaks volumes.

You would think being theres a new offense, that these guys would be biting at the bit to instal some of it together.Maybe they're still feeling the hangover from last season, but sometimes you need a little "hair of the dog" and face it straight on to get over it. Its just disheartening to see other teams that had much better success getting together. There's no fire with this group of Vikings, maybe these young guys that did show up can be the foundation for for things to come.(Been waiting since 1973)

I'm sure that some of these players were not able to get there due to prior commitments (??!!??). Really, as mentioned above, a 6-10 team and they would rather sit around the house and not improve? If this had been an older 20 year veteran QB 2 years ago asking the boys to show up I'm sure there would have been 20-30 more players. Strange group of people, these pro athletes......they make more in one year than it takes a "regular" person 20 years to make and they have to have someone else motivate them? Here's to your upcoming 3-13 season Vikes. Now would be the time to do something about that - not August.

This is why i can't side with the players they are spoiled beyond belief and don't relize it. After what Rice pulled last year he should have been the first one there to show that he has some commitment to this team. Not that these informal workouts can do much but for a team that went 6-10 you would think there would be a little bit of commitment from the vets. Hopefully Frazier can kick them in the but when everything gets settled.

Give Ponder a lot of credit, the new face of the Vikings are showing up, and the vets should be embarassed. Get off your well vacationed butts and start to build a team. Learn the new playbook so you don't look stupid in San Diego in week 1, if there is one. So frustrating, I'm about to cancel my NFL Sunday ticket, or find a team that enjoys winning.
