I just bought some Inov-8 minimalist shoes based on a recommendation from a co-worker. I've done about five runs of 4 miles. It really is amazing how quiet you sound, when you run in them. I call them my ninja shoes, because you can sneak up on people for fun. My running form is improving. Before at the end of runs, when I'm most tired, I start to resort to heel running, but when I wear these shoes I'm maintaining a mid-foot landing, since you naturally want to avoid hard pounding. These are great shoes for walking around as well. You have incredible balance and you really sense the terrain.
