Five minutes after the disaster they start looting each other. Really lame.

Not really all the surprising...Fridley got a lot of damages as well, but all news coverage showed them cleaning up and cutting trees. Didn't see any of that in the North Side footage. Pretty sad.

After the tornados in Hugo and Fridley the neighborhoods work together to help each other out. In North Minneapolis after a tornado a few neighbors help with the clean up effort. Then; the looting begins. Classy real classy; NOT!!!!!!!

I have co-workers who live in the area, they saw no looting nor any sign of looting despite walking all over the damaged zone. They agreed that the liquor store may have had some stock walk off early on, but the police were there to secure it quickly at the request of the owner. They said everybody was helping each other and starting cleanup, just like any other area.

@stpaulchuck- My family owns a business in North Mpls and it was destroyed by the tornado. I do not live in north Minneapolis rather I live in St Paul (Mac-Groveland). I am amazed, witnessing it myself, how the neighborhood came together to help each other out. People were boarding up their neighbors homes before their own, using generators and power tools (and not stealing them). I witnessed complete strangers running into homes screaming to make sure everyone was okay. They didn’t even know the people who lived there. Clearly, your opinion about the north Mpls residents is skewed- they are people just like you and me. They worry about their family and care for their neighbors. It is pathetic that you assume they will loot because of where they live. Apparently, your neighbors in Mac-Groveland or Highland would do something different. Do me a favor, when this happens to our neighborhood, please don’t come knocking on my door, I won’t help you out. I’ll be too busy helping the old lady next to me, plus I don’t have patience for arrogant people like you.

SpAgent74- if you were in the area all you would hear is the hum of chain saws and the pounding of nails. Don't assume.
