Ray Edwards wins debut fight, but it was hardly a crowd-pleaser

  • Article by: MYRON P. MEDCALF , Star Tribune

The four-round unanimous decision notwithstanding, Ray Edwards was the first to admit, after his pro boxing debut, that he has a lot of work ahead.

In reading this story and who attended from the Vikes, I didn't realize there were 2 men named Fred Evans on the team.

Any articles on Edwards are a waste of ink.

Ray Edwards sounds like an idiot! Remember, this was the guy that was going to break the single season sack record and only fell about 15 short.

Edwards is clearly a better boxer than DE. RTs around the league typically use him for a punching bag and knock his block off!

Maybe if he had a trainer that isn't a total fraud, he could have a decent amateur career. He needs to stay where he gets paid (in the NFL) but not with the Vikings.

Maybe if football's lockout continues we can have a season of Fall Football Fighter. Edwards and Zbikowsky (Notre Dame and Colts) can be on the card and some of those other street fighters ..... better than re-runs;-)

Ray, TMI! We don't care that you had diarrhea and abstained from sex for 6 weeks! Maybe you should try abstaining from sex during the football season?
