And just where is the money going to come from for a bounty on coyotes? Cuts for the poor, vets, etc.? Hello, coyotes are here to stay. As for deer antler restictions the majority of hunters WILL BE age 60 soon. Legislators need to let the professional wildlife managers at the DNR do their jobs.

It seems a shame the research bears can't be more readily identified. There is a lot of time and money invested to write them off so easily. Even though responsible sportsmen will not try to tamper with their wildlife fund investment, they may need some sort of alert. Maybe the bears could have some painted marks on their heads....?

So what would change re: shooting collared bears? Hunters are already ASKED to not shoot them, but it is still legal, as it should be. No one should be allowed to own a wild animal, which is esentially what Rogers is trying to do.

You know, why even have the DNR? The MN Legislature seems to think they know more about managing the states fish and wildlife better than the DNR does. The whole pike thing really gets my goat too. There are 3350 or so lakes that have pike in them in MN with ONLY 115 that have special pike regulations. So now we're going to change that so a total of 15,000 spearers can trump 2,000,000 open water anglers? Doesn't make sense.

tcatheart...kind of silly to state that "no one should be allowed to own a wild animal" but then also believe that is ok to shoot one. What gives you that right? I like the paint on the head idea (the bear, not tcatheart).

2 lines now. Say goodbye to productive fisheries and hello to smaller limits. There's nothing wrong with consumption when it comes to fishing or hunting but the one-line regulation has had a positive impact across Minnesota. Now we can be just like all the Iowans with two lines in the water waiting for bullhead. Problem is, walleye aren't bullhead.

we would like to thank Rep Phyllis Kahn, D Nicollet Island Mpls, for all her gained knowledge of the outdoors and the plight of the bears

If your going to say you can't shoot collared bears that is fine. But also put a number on the amount of Bears this nut job Lynn can have collared. Otherwise him and his cronies will collar every bear they can! By the way, the bear brats we had last night were delicious!

Now more paper work and time for a cash strapped DNR. Have the researcher pay for these costs!

what would solve this for all is to require that all research bears be spray painted blaze orange
