Killebrew was pure class! A great man and a great athlete. All pro athletes should model themselves after "HK the Great!" RIP.

I find it very fitting that Twins are also currently playing Arizona and on a win streak. Fate? Who would have thought when the schedule came out last year that we would see the Twins playing interleague in May in Arizona and honoring a great legend at the same time.

Injury Update: Justin Morneau and Michael Cuddyer go on 15 day DL with leg weakness as a result from being a paul bearer.. No timetable for a return -Oh come on people, its a joke, get a sense of humor

A man, a disciple, a "saint", a father, a husband, a son, a player and a friend for all time. God bless you Harmon.

paythepiper - Yes, a joke, but not good timing. Not on the day of a funeral.

A great baseball player, but an even greater human being.

Can't say I knew the man, or really even followed his career much ... I was just too young back then. However, it's great to hear nothing but good things about a sports hero. The fact that most discussions about Harmon right now relate to Harmon the man, rather than Harmon the athlete, shows what a great person he was ...

Harmon was a wonderful human being, kind to everyone, he loved kids, and we loved him back. A rare gem indeed. RIP HK...you have touched so many lives!
