if the pollution is under the black top parking lot or concrete stadium how are the fans going to be exposed. I have been a season ticket holder for 10 years at the dome and i never dug around in any dirt at the dome. bury it under the parking lot and i won't be disturbed for 30 years. I you haul it to a landfill it will run off in the river or evaporate in the air we breath.

Many fans might not realize this? If they were from the jungles of the Congo and had been living under a rock for the last 5 years. Wasted space for an article, thanks a lot.

The Star Tribune has sure seemed to publish quite a few anti-stadium articles this week, in particular, anti-Arden Hills...is it just a coincidence?

It's okay for the Wilfs. Most of New Jersey is also contaminated with mercury, lead, solvents, PCBs and other hazardous substances. The other part of NJ is swampland with dead bodies buried by the mob.

The anti- stadium articles are starting to get ridiculous. First it was the infrastructure would not be in the budget and then that study comes under budget, then it's the Vikings are getting a better deal than the Twins. Now it's about that there MAY be to much pollution at the site. How about lets let the experts find out and then write a story instead of speculating and sensationalizing every story that has to do with the stadium.

Getting involved with the Army adds another level of complexity that could make this a very long term solution. The Army doesn't do anything it isn't forced to do. That site is a big IF!

Forget about it. The Los Angeles Vikings has a nice ring to it.

"State pollution officials said if more contamination is found, they could require the developer to remove soil to a depth of two feet before it lays asphalt." Wow. Two Feet. The whole article led up to having to remove two feet of soil? Gosh, that might take two weeks. Apparently journalism school is easier than ever to get into these days. Journalism ethics are also apparently long gone, as the strib never mentions their financial interest in the Minneapolis site, which a reputable paper would put in every article.
