Seems to me it's Sen Hoffman who's an idiot and an imbecile. That's the only explanation if her tweet was not intentional malice but the result of an inability to understand simple English.

Hoffman should be ashamed of herself. People having mental illness is a serious condition and she should not turn this into a political stunt. Shame on her, and shame on the GOP.

Is anyone surprised that the Republicans mis-characterize what their opponents say? Not me. They have been acting like immature bullies for quite some time, but are the first to cry foul if anyone actually quotes exactly what they have said verbatim. .....

I can say I know how to safely solve 50% of this problem. Let's cut the number of legislators by 50%. It would take guts for a current legislator to introduce that bill. I doubt if you will find anyone willing to do it, and put their colleagues on record if it ever came to a vote. Anybody want to comment about the cost the legislature incurs every year? Want to ask what an impending "special session" is going to cost? Seems to me, instead of complaining about high costs everywhere else in the state, the legislature/government needs to do a little soul searching about their extreme costs right now.

Wah, wah, wah.....there's nothing like a bunch of sheep crying in unison! Poor choice of words, yes, but it's just a tweet.....who cares. This is no worse than many of you on here using this tweet to characterize all republicans. I'd swear the Strib discussion boards are actually therapy sessions for the left.

Politicians all act like a bunch of 2nd and 3rd graders the way they go after each other. Teacher, teacher he or she called me a fool or a liar and he/she stuck her tongue out at me. Can't we get some adult politicians somewhere and replace the Juveniles we have? Makes me sick to hear and watch these immature go after publicity.

A Republican politcian lied in order to smear an opposing member. Gee, what a shock, I'm surprised, I never would have expected this. Come on, same old, same old, the GOP has taken this as their main strategy since Rove took it to new heights for "W".

Funny, Last night Michelle Bachmann was on Saint Paul cable channel six, while discussing TSA policies she referred to disabled people as "cripples." Present tense folks, as in today there are cripples trying to board airplanes. In fairness she caught herself immediately and said cripples...disabled...But it's there in her psyche, the first word that comes to her mind is "cripples" My point, WHO CARES. Don't we have better things to worry about than playing gotcha? Doesn't Hoffman have anything better to do, on the taxpayers dime, than misrepresent her collegues remarks?
