They all died while still playing, Jemi. The Masterson story is interesting in that his death resulted in more intense lobbying for hockey players to wear helmets, which were uncommon in North American professional hockey at that time. Perhaps Boogaard's death may lead to some type of lobbying to cut down the fist fighting. Just a thought, I realize fighting in ice hockey is an established tradition.
