Though Michael Cuddyer has shown an ability to play at several positions, Ron Gardenhire wants to leave him in right to get his bat going.

Great outing for Baker...and awesome fill in's but need to keep it up with our regular starters....a no hitter and great start against the worst team in the league wont do it when we start playing better teams.

Too bad we have to settle on Cuddyer as an everyday starter now. I'd rather see Kubel in rightfield, and Cuddyer on the bench.

Good Plan: new minor league shortstop starting in the majors, minor league/utility 2nd basemen- Cuddy manning right field with his impressive 4RBI FOR THE YEAR! People, there are 4 players THIS YEAR who contributed 4RBI to their team on opening day- how bad is this team, really?

the truth about our 23million dollar catcher is not being told- what a brutal shot to this team to have signed him for so much for so long- where was the thinking?? but at least now lets get honest and get this kid well...what are his parents thinking...if that was my son hed have been in the mayo clinic long ago....something isnt right here and we are not being told the whole/real story......and there are better veteran catchers out there like molinas-maybe a rodriguez- but im sure some research would find something better than what we are doing..at least maybe we found a shortstop ....lets hope

Casillia showed again with his bat on Friday night why the TWINS cannot have him start.

Missing Lester is a good thing, but I think it would have been a bonus if the Bo Sox would have pitched Lackey.

Within the last couple days, I read somewhere that Mauer's timetable for returning is "weeks" away. Man, I hope that's just speculation and not factual. I agree with mjeffg01, above - I don't think the truth is coming out at all, with regard to what's truly troubling Mauer and keeping him from playing. Time will tell, I suppose, but I wish we could all be let in on whatever the secret is.

Way to get tough with those back-up catchers Gardy! You show 'em!

I try my best not to be a worrywart but the lack of a timetable for Mauer's return really makes me nervous. The sooner we get him away from catcher, the sooner my mind will be at ease. I know he's a great catcher but there are plenty of good defensive catchers out there and not as many mind-blowing hitters.
