I would suggest spending a lot of free-agent money on the offensive line and defensive line...with a decent line Ponder , Peterson and Harvin will do fine

PLEASE, we do not want or need McNabb! We have had enough of old, slow & QB's way past their prime. IMO only Carson Palmer would be the best fit if an experienced QB is needed!

After watching his highlight reel and seeing an interview, I really like this kid. He is really fluid in the way he moves and closes fast. Seems to be a tackler in the mould of Winfield but taller at 6'2". I think he makes it, and he could be really good.

As far as mcnabb goes, we dont need him. I gaurantee by week 4 he will have pulled 1 or both hamstrings, the guy can not stay healthy, And he may have to run alot.Besides he throws just as many INTs as any learning QB will.

No Palmer either, He cant win even when his team is stacked at reciever and a good running game to go whith it.

Good luck Mistral ! I hope you make it all the way to the pro-bowl or better yet, help bring the Super Bowl championship to Mn. Donovan McNab is mobile enough to survive the Vikings offensive line issues better than most and I am not sure Carson Palmer is. Ponder needs a mentor and our currnet offensive line situation will tend to teach a young QB how to scramble and not how to read defenses. I would make sure we have our O-line issues squared away before feeding a young QB to the wolves(Lions, Bears, Packers etc.).

I have to agree that if the Vikings do not want to be in rebuilding mode they should acquire Palmer. With him, they have a QB on par with the rest of the division and a chance to compete for the title.

I would have to say no to McNabb, im hoping Fraizer is going to avoid temptation by going down the same path as Chilly by hoping an aging qb who had a horrible previous year can still play. Also have to pass on Carson, who I dont think will even be available, and o we really want to try and woo another qb out of retirement? best bet for a vet qb IMO is Kyle Orton or Vince Young. Both are still very mobile and arent going to come in expecting to start. Either one would provide great competition at the qb spot.
