Even with all the violations, most of these places are probably more sanitary than the average home kitchen.

Now this is useful. A list of places not to eat at.

Seriously, don't you need rats or cockroaches to make this list? Most of these "violations" sound more like a fundraiser for the City of Minneapolis than they do threats to public health. I don't question writing these places up, but I do question publicizing such minor infractions. If you're concerned about public safety, shouldn't you be publishing lists of which red lights in town get run the most?

As a former health inspector in CA I can tell you that this is nothing short of ridiculous. The complaints listed may have some validity but nothing is out of the ordinary or life threatening.

I'm curious, Mr. CA health inspector, how this is more ridiculous than slapping a HUGE letter-grade on each and every restaurant in California for the same violations..

I am concerned with the soup not cooling fast enough. LOL. Honestly though, I would not go to these places if they are serving expired food, that is just gross.

Food held at too high of temps and a refrigerator at 50+ degrees are certainly dangerous. Bacteria can breed when food is not kept cold enough.

The Minneapolis Club??? Private club that caters to movers and shakers, or wannabes?? What an embarrassment.
