regardless of how Ponder turns out, the Queens reached...they could have traded down into late in the 1st round and got "their man" and recouped our third rounder...and if they couldn't, then Speilman is worthless...

Let's not write this guy off so quickly just because the brass averted our expectations as fans and not football personnel. With the trading up and trading down scenarios not working out (by no fault of the Vikings, just the way the chips fell), there was absolutely NO guarantee he would still be available late in the 2nd round. Let's see what the kid's got. Give him a chance.

I think the pick really sucks! There was so much more talent to grab and we grabbed a second rounder? What about Collin Kapernick 6'6" 4.39 40yrd dash huge passing yard and no injury history now look at Christian Ponder pretty shaky I would of rather had any O-linemen or Cornerback. THIS PICK IS GOING TO HAUNT THE VIKINGS!
