Foolishness. We waste precious monetary resources on this drivel and it only leads to financial ruin. The Earth heals itself.

Congratulations on making repeated references to creation without ever using the word "God". Of course while it's laudable to protect that which He has entrusted to us, it's worth noting since you have used the allegory that the Earth, like everything else in creation, belongs to God (Psalm 24:1). It's important to note also that Gaia-worship such as we see from the hardest core environmentalists detracts from our proper role as humans to worship God. We must not worship and serve created things -- which includes the Earth. Take care of it, absolutely. Worship it, no.
