Wilf is just creating a ruse. He knows he can more than double his money by bringing the Vikings to LA and he wants to let it known it was not his fault for a stadium in Minnesota falling through.

Wilf is a complete stooge and extremely desperate because he is leveraged to the hilt with the loan (which he recently had to refinance) he took out to purchase his 51% stake in the vikings. The fact is that he is out of money and credit and couldn't finance a new stadium even if he wanted to. This guy is all about getting corporate welfare and he will stop at nothing to get it even if it means threatening us all that he will move the vikings if a new stadium isn't built and paid for with taxpayer money. That is clearly the reason why he is, has and always will be short on specifics about financing this thing. All he knows is that he will not be financing any of it!!!

I just don't like when they say those that benefit from the stadium should pay for it and everyone thinks that means Vikings fans that goes to the games. What about the high schools that play games there? The college baseball games? Monster truck rallys? Don't just put an extra burden on the people who go to Vikings games, when this new stadium will be used in similar fashion to the Metrodome which was used for non-Vikings thinsg more than it was for Vikings games.

And, still, not a single legislator has even uttered the suggestion that the Metrodome be renovated? The $300 million that Wilf has pledged to a new stadium would cover most of a massive renovation of the Metrodome.

We can't raise revenue to fund our schools or fix out roads because it will violate the republicans no-new-taxes philosophy. But some of these republican legislators are perfectly happy to raise our taxes to make this rich man richer. Let him build his own stadium with his own money.
