I like the thought of Hitchcock or Murray. But I'm not opposed to growing with an "up-and-comer" like Richards, I mean Muller.

Andy Murray sounds about right.

Tippit would obviously be the #1 option should he somehow get out of his deal to move to the armpit of Canada. I have no interest in Bruce Budreau, if he couldn't take the Caps anywhere, what could he possibly do with the Wild? Murray would be a decent choice but he's never had playoff success. Hitchcock will almost certainly make this team better but we'll hear the same old complaints from casual fans that the Wild play boring hockey, doesn't bother me at all if they're winning. If they hire Mac T I will give up my allegiance to the Wild. He's a bigger donkey than Marc Crawford.

I'm no great hockey mind, but in my opinion, the Wild need someone who can motivate and teach at the same time, while having the patience to develop a team. Given the many mistakes all the players continue to make on a consistent basis, no player should be guaranteed playing time, they need to earn it. May also need ownership to buy out some of these bloated contracts or try to trade them away for draft picks. The Wild need to stop paying top line salaries for third and fourth line/pair players.

Thanks for not mentioning Iron Mike Keenan as an "experienced" candidate. Wouldn't want to give Fletcher any ideas.

Hitchcock was fired from the Blue Jackets cause he could not motivate young players. So if he gets the job, look out, he won't last a year. Murray can motivate. . . I have a feeling though, and I might put some money in the pot that Craig Hartsburg will be named. Any takers?

Andy Murray is a perfect fit. He is the hardest working coach out there and he revived the Blues, before Davidson canned him because Murray wouldn't be his puppet. If they hire Murray, they will be hosting at least a first round play-off series next season.

Hartsburg would have some sentimental value but I am not sure that this is the team for him to have success with - tough one - he would be in my top three. Seems like Hitchcock might be the right guy - would be coming off coaching Canada in the World Ice Hockey Championships so he would have a fresh outlook at what good level of hockey is all about. Mactavish would be in the top 3.
