Starting staff has rough road trip

Same old same old... this Liriano guy just does not get it... knuckle head. I do not see him ever being consistent and being able to be a closer... the team has none. Smith needs to seriously consider redoing the starting staff, something many knew should have been on his to-do list. This GM (as his starters and some hitters) is not performing and be on trial period.

If Carl Pavano is your "ace" that tells you something about the overall quality of the starting pitching. I see a couple things. First we do not have a dominant stud #1 pitcher and we haven't since Johan. Liriano has the most talent and nastiest stuff but it hasn't all come together consistently. He has also struggled in bigger games but he's our best chance at having that dominant pitcher and hopefully he can get into a groove and find some composure and consistency. The rest of the staff are average. This season looks like it could be average.

And this was a surprise to who? This is a "keep it interesting throughout the year and make tons of money" lineup. It is not a "let's win champuionships lineup.
