Losing him will hurt, but the Twins are hoping to get a full season out of Justin Morneau and Danny Valencia.

The Nishioka signing will end up being known as Smith's Folly. He looks like a scared refugee from New Britain instead of a guy who played pro ball in Japan for several years. Our one hope is that Hughes pulls a "Valencia" and plays so well that Gardenhire will have no choice but to continue to play him.

I certainly have not been impressed by Nishioka, but I sure am not excited about Tolbert being in the lineup on a regular basis. Good thing Punto is not around.

It was Noah Dahlman.

"A lot of the Gophers assistant men's basketball coaches were nervous last week... Smith was going to take the Missouri job" Sid, exactly how many coaches does Tubby want to leave behind? Would he leave his son behind, and the others he'd take with him, right? I guess you never had much access to Tubby anyway.

If Nishioka's leg was on the wrong side of the bag when turning the double play, why didn't the coach's catch that during spring training and teach him how runners take out the person on the bag. Perhaps his injury could have been prevented.

It might be a blessing in disguise? The Twins need one because management and coaching is not capable of making important changes on there own!

Glenn Mason continues to show he is a class guy.

After spending so much money for Nishioka and all the hype put into the signing etal, it is almost unbelievable that the Twins didn't work with him day and night on how to play second base! How could they put him on the field knowing that he was doing it all wrong?? How? Another major blunder by our "manager of the year" Ron Gardenhire!! Get rid of Gardenhire and trade Mauer!!

So is Sid really implying that both the injuries to Justin and Ishi were due to lack of conditioning?

You guys Judge Nishioka after only 6 games? C'mon thought you guys knew a little bit about Baseball.
