Leave it up! The cheese heads should be taking the I-94 bridge anyhow!

Perfect bridge just a few miles south of that location that can be used. Why is there any talk of putting in a replacement for this bridge?

This falls on Michele Bachman's District. But she told me water was going to fall 360 inches per day--levels unheard of!! I saw her graph of it all. When she arrives back to MN--I make sure she is aware of whats going on in her district.

"Perfect bridge just a few miles south of that location that can be used. Why is there any talk of putting in a replacement for this bridge?" - At today's gas prices, that bridge to the south is $500/year more expensive to drive to. And no I don't drive in that area, I'm just saying there probably are plenty of people in New Richmond working at Andersen Windows who don't appreciate having their commute time and fuel costs doubled because a new bridge would tarnish the beauty of the river (a new bridge that will be squeezed between a beautiful coal power plant and a beautiful marina. How dare they take away the natural look).

People choose where to live and where to work. The bridge has been around for 100 years. The river has flooded for eternity. People need to own up to their choices and not whine.

Then why did we replace the 35W bridge, there were perfectly good ones on either side of it. I94 is already jammed.

Whatever! Stillwater is in need of a new bridge and has been for many years now. Hopefully they realize that before it falls in the river!

Hopefully, a giant iceberg takes the Stillwater bridge OUT for good. Then let's see what happens.

Something has to happen to justify Carver spending $500,000 on a clay, temporary dike.
