Whoever transferred the above headline from the treeware version used some much-needed restraint. The original headline reads: "Heidi's: A ★★★★ rebirth," and the graphically grabbing headline is even reproduced on the jump page, in a type size so large the stars are more than three-fourths of an inch in diameter. I've been a subscriber for 55 years and cannot recall a restaurant having its star rating displayed so prominently. It seems to me that if one four-star restaurant deserves its rating to be proclaimed so exuberantly in the headline, they all do. Better yet, keep the star rating out of the headline and avoid the suggestion of favoritism. (P.S. I have no personal or professional connection to any restaurant anywhere and am simply looking for fairness.)

Hmm. We found it wildly expensive, odd for the neighborhood, and "foodie" just to be foodie. ("Five" was a similar disaster--so it's interesting to learn it's the same peopel!). We had no trouble getting a Saturday reservation two weeks ago, so I guess it is just a foodie destination and they've stopped coming---and given all the wonderful neighborhood choices, it's just a foodie destination destine to fail.

Yahoomn - Wildly expensive? Are you sure you're thinking of the same place? My girlfriend and I got a bottle of wine, entres, dessert, and 2 drinks for under 100. Places aren't destined to fail because you don't need to call weeks out for reservations. Heidi's fits in perfectly with the neighborhood and the food is great. I highly recommend.

agree with viper55337. it is only wildly expensive if you compare it to mcdonalds. Only 1 entree hits the $20 limit, the hors d'ouerves are cheap and the wine is very well priced. Its a great spot to be at in the lyn-lake area. I see no reason this place wont thrive for years to oome.

Not sure what to say about this **** triple platinum, double gold star love story that has no negitive thoughts at all. It almost seemed payed for but, I have eaten here a few times and it is good and the place is beautiful and the service is great. I hope the slow death of fine dining doesn't affect them. Definately eaten at better **** triple platinum, double goldstar places though. 3 1/2 *'s would have been unjust to their production as well. So I guess good job on your review!
