Totally disagree with most of the ranking. #9 Casey. He will never make it as an "idol", even if he should win, #8 Haley. Her bluesy voice is not main stream enough. #7 Jacob. Great voice for broadway or even modern opera, but not idol material. #6 Stefano. If he can keep his eyes open he may go further. #5 Paul. Kind of a Rod stewart vibe. #4 Scotty. Regardless of whether or not he wins, country will grab him up in a second. #3 Pia. Good voice, but again I think geared more to broadway. #2 Lauren. She's the best bet to win, but may not based on her dizziness(?). #1 James. He really shouldn't win because all he does is scream, but that appears to be what the judges & people like.

I agree mostly with the writer. Casey was doing great until the judges whittled him down one night. If he gets his attitude back, I put him in the top 5. Lauren Alaina is too nervous on stage. Give her a couple years and she would win it. James Durbin has what it takes and he CAN sing. Pia has the best voice, but is too Broadway to be an idol. Paul, Scotty Jacob and Haley seem to be stuck in thier rut, but are good at what they do.

Pretty much spot on with the ranking - although personally, I can't stand Scotty – guess there are plenty of rednecks that somehow figured out how to call in and vote...

1. Casey Abrams, 2 James Durbin, 3. Haley Reinhart...sez me. Casey--I actually want to listen to him sing again. That says a lot for me at this stage of this show. James--almost as good, but Casey surprises me and I am picky (aren't we all?) 3. Haley does have a great and provocative voice but more amateur than Casey and James. The rest? ok but I just wouldn't want to listen to them a second time.
