Sid Hartman: Wild, Wolves could both change coaches

Poor seasons in the standings and at the gate could mean the end for Todd Richards and Kurt Rambis.

Richards and Rambis have more talent but cannot beat the records from Bill Mussleman and Jaques Lemaire's less talented teams. The difference was they tried to win with the players they had, not force a system. Both need to go.

The only aggravation Maturi's suffering from is that which he's brought on himself. He's bad decisions have cost the U millions of extra dollars. He may be a nice guy, but he's a terrible DI A.D.

How is this a coach problem? Both teams recently got rid of HORRIBLE GM's. Name the coaches who would have gotten these two teams to the playoffs this year?!?! Kahn and Fletcher need to worry about the rosters....not the coaches. In defense of Todd Richards, the Wild were in the playoff hunt until two weeks ago.....with a bunch of second and third liners.

gjacob.....REALLY?!?! Richards has more talent than JL???? Are you serious? Lemaire had Rolston...Gaborik....Demitra...a younger Brunette...and Koivu. Richards has Koivu and Havlat. Who else?!?!

Interesting that Sid noticed. The Wild are near the cap. Is that Richards fault, too? Overpaying for mediocre talent falls on the GM. Riseborough did this in Calgary, St Louis and Minnesota. The guy was a disaster. Fletcher needs time to fix the crap DR dealt him. Once this is done, we can talk about Richards.

I think Glen Taylor is the only one that loves the Timberwolves. Kahn and Rambis both need to go. Sadly, who else would even want to come here, coach or star player to turn this cursed franchise around. Even when KG was here, this team has stunk on ice. Glen Taylor should do the right thing and sell the team and let the city bulldoze Target Center so it isn't the ugly blight on the horizon of Target Field.
