Wasn't the budget part of their campaign platform? What have they been doing, besides selling off trees in our parks? Gov. Dayton had his budget proposal done Feb. 15th and people were saying that was too long.

Who wrote the lead paragraph on this article obviously wrote it to maximize the feeling that the Republicans are making a mess. They also don't seem to cover the important aspect of the story that we are broke and the governor doesn't seem to care that his policies will further degrade the state's economy - as similar policies have done in other now almost bankrupt states like California and Illinois. When will the Strib staff take off their statist glasses and cover the fiscal crisis that we are facing with and objective viewpoint?

More loaded language from the legislature reporters. "Republican legislators are COBBLING together..." If it was the DFL, they would be "preparing" or some other neutral word.

Remember they are still going to be spending around $34 BILLION dollars an increase over last budget. It is very obvious that neither party dealing with that amount at that level can do a good of accounting for the money and expected results. Companies with professionals trained how to manage, spend and invest have trouble.
