This will be the third consecutive season in which the Wild has missed the playoffs. And it will be eight full years since Jacques Lemaire’s underdogs made their run to the Western Conference finals.

Pat that's was 2004 but I'm not being picky. Only two playoff appearances in 10 years. That is Timberwolf pathetic. It's hockey folks. Give us something to cheer and be proud of. This stinks. No scorers, no cup and no nothing. Nice rink though but it's gonna start to get empty in there.

Finally you got a guy who knows wth he's talking about. Backs, schultz, butch bad contracts, 3 years of draft picks that yielded cal only, gabby, demo, and rolston walking away for nothing, we are still paying Parrish almost a million until 13/14! And "I shouldve managed expectations better". Doug had a 5 year plan, he started with a clean slate. Fletch should get that, at least 4 for sure. Fletch hasn't been perfect, staubitz, barker, kobascrew trades were questionable, and nystrom signing also, but this is year 2, he spent last years draft stocking the aeros b/c we had nothing.

Thanks for heads-up, lindy_frank123. Wondering why this is what I find when check 2003 Stanley Cup playoffs: These playoffs marked the first time the Minnesota Wild qualified, in only their third season in the NHL. The Minnesota Wild, as a 6 seed, made an unlikely advance to the Western Conference Finals as underdogs after being down three games to one in two consecutive rounds.

Oh and don't forget trading for Chris Simon.

Two $70 season tickets for 10 years = $57,400. I'm sure the Wild management is thinking about reducing ticket prices?? Why support an organization that is as inept as this? Same for the T-Wolves??

I've been to two Wild games in my lifetime. I have no interest in going back to watch a team that constantly loses. Really nobody exciting to watch on the team either...

Season ticket holder ($85/game x 4 seats) since season one. Not commenting on some contract stuff because I'm not educated enough but...it's clear that Risebrough made a huge mess that others are now trying to clean up. How successfully -- I'm not sure. Have to wonder "what could have been had" we not lost Koivu, Clutterbuck, etc at the beginning of the recent win skid. As far as anybody fun to watch -I love to watch Havlat & PMB on the line together. If only someone could put it in the net. I also enjoy Clutterbuck - he might be the closest thing to Wes Walz we have now. We are contemplating splitting tickets or only buying two seats next year. Normally, we go to all the games when we are in town -- and watch on NHL Center Ice when we're not. I can't even be bothered to watch on tv now -- it's worse than watching pre-season hockey; no consequence to the game and nothing to anticipate. I feel for the owner trying to get us to renew right now.

Chuck Fletcher and Todd Richards out; Matt Millen and Daffy Duck in. The newbies couldn't do any worse than these two clueless amateurs.

I live three hours from the X, and I've been to about a dozen Wild games. I remember whenever the puck touched Gaborik's stick, a gasp came over the crowd. That doesn't happen anymore.

I think this teams problems began with the name choice.
