If one gaff can disqualify a candidate from higher office then Biden should resign as VP immediately. How many letters in the word 'jobs'? According to Biden-three. And who can forget his dropping the F-bomb on live tv?

In Michele's defense, there is a Concord in New Hampshire. But I am all but sure it is not a Revolutionary War battle site.

Big deal - a politician makes a mistake. No worse than Obama claiming to have visited all 57 states. If this is the best that liberals can do so what - no ones mind is changed by the gaff - it just allows liberals to throw more stones and exhibit more hatred.

Michelle Bachman is no less intelligent than any of our other typical politicians. She is in fact smart enough to know how gullible the electorate is and she knows that their is more money for her on the republican side. No, she is not an intellectual, but you know how we hate them anyway. Why the heck would we want smart people as leaders? Those smarty pants with all their facts, a bunch of teacher's pets. Although, I suspect the most intelligent folks were actually somewhat tortured by teachers and their insistance on conformity. Probably just as tortured as they are now watching the general populace fall prey to these false leaders on both sides of the aisle. We keep pounding our heads against the wall and can't figure out why it hurts. Maybe we like it.

Let us not forget George W. Bush, with his daily blundering, most famously, "Is our children learning?" Several hundred verbal miscues did not stop him from leading the nation over the edge of a cliff.

For someone so enamored with the birth-time of our country, you'd think she'd know more about it. Perhaps she was merely counting on the public at large being as ignorant as her. On most days, not too unsafe an assumption.

patrickjd - And who could forget Cheney telling a Congressperson to F off in the Capitol Building? Ah, hypocrisy.

The gaffe itself was minor, but it is a metaphor for the numerous misstatments, bending of history, and plain fiction that this woman employs in defending her positions.
