This is just poor reporting. Nowhere in the article does it clarify whether the two players are related.

The league should just drop it. They knew the banned substance was in the product and was not listed on the label. But the Willams had no way of knowing it was in there and the diuretic it's self was not banned. So the only crime they knowingly committed was peeing before a weigh in. If the Williams' cheated to meet a weight incentive, take away the incentive. Fine them something for cheating. I'm good with that. Their crime is cheating on a deal to make weight without artificial means. This is a VIKINGS issue. They cheated on a deal with the Vikings. Let the Vikings address it. (and they should) The league should own up to the fact that they have some responsibility too and stop deflecting the blame for a poorly crafted drug plan. But the whole drug thing is messy and a little shady. My two cents.

I wonder how much Kevin Williams paid the lawyers to protect $1.4mil (much less after the agent and IRS)? At some point it just isn't worth the money or the stress of fighting anymore.

I notice since they got couaght their playing level did decrease. They got caught and should just take the punishment, be done with it and move on.
