The hearings should not be about Muslims. They should be about radicals and terrorists. There are plenty of Muslim Americans as well as Muslim guests in our country who are just ordinary people living ordinary lives. Lets not paint them all with the same brush.

This whole thing is stupid. Muslims commit crimes, but so do Christians and everyone else. The problem is that the radical Muslims are not being taken to task within their own community. It's the same problem facing Catholics with their kiddy diddling priests... if the church/community said this person is scum they are doing this, people would have more trust in that group as a whole for policing their own misdeeds. As it is, we have a veil of secrets.

Is this the most important thing on Keith's blotter today? He has to go up to this panel and sit and cry about someone who gave their life in 9/11? We are all American's, and under the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, are protected. This whole thing that is underway is absolutely ridiculous. It smacks of McCarthyism and for the life of me, don't we have a few other issues to discuss in the US Congress well ahead of this one?

The top Democrat on the committee, Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, says he believes the hearings could be used to inspire terrorists. If the terrorists were not muslims, why would these hearings inspire more terrorism? Why do the democrats always have to stand for causes that fly in the face of logic?

"Rep. Keith Ellison showed emotion rarely seen on Capitol Hill Thursday morning". Yeah, sure. Except for the fact the politicians on both sides fake emotions all the time. Heck, Boehner shows more emotion when he hears that its going to be partly cloudy. What a stupid opening line to an article. And it couldn't be more false.
