How about commenting on the alternate Violetta and Alfredo? Georgia Jarman was fabulous in both singing and acting. Stephen Powell was mesmerizing in Act II with Jarman. His is a luscious baritone, one you could listen to all day. Alas, Daniel Montenegro doesn't have the heft and sound to match Jarman, and was often overshadowed (and drown out) in their joint singing. Not a good pairing. Overall another wonderful production by Minn Opera!
