Ellison, along with CAIR, continue to sell the myth that Muslims in this country are somehow 'under attack'. This country has been extremely tolerant of all things Muslim. We remember all the hyperbole after 911 that Muslims would be persecuted and harmed. Well, it never happened. There have been almost NO documented attacks on American Muslims. What is true, however, is that some American Muslims have committed terrorist acts, both here and abroad. And no amount of Ellison or CAIR spin can change that. The upcoming congressional hearings are being painted (once again) as some sort of witch hunt. Nonsense. It is only prudent to take all steps to prevent any further Muslim terrorist attacks. Most Americans understand that not all Muslims are terrorists. However, the fact remains that almost all terrorists in recent history have been Muslims. (Most recently two US soldiers were killed overseas by a radicalized Muslim) Looking at any and all ways to prevent attacks is prudent. Ellison should support those efforts.

Remind me please. Other than showcasing himself and his ideology since he was elected, what has he accomplished?

Keith is partly right, we can not assume all Muslims are terrorists, but he hasn't seemed to have figured out that almost every terrorist attack worldwide in the last 10 years has been by people who were Muslims. It is not just in the USA, but in Spain, England, France, India, Denmark, Israel, Pakistan, Philippines, Serbia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia, Yemen, Turkey, UAE and more countries. Doesn't he believe it is a bit more than a coincidence, that there is some interest in studying radicalization?

Outrageous to call a Congressman to testify on "homegrown Islamic terrorism". Look at the U.S. war and occupation of two Middle Eastern countries to see a reason for hatred of U.S. policy................................................The Times Square bomber, Ft. Hood shooter, Xmas bomber said they were motivated by the U.S. wars in the Middle East. The U.S. can't be involved in tens of thousands of deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan without consequences.

"I'm an activist who happens to be a congressman," said Ellison, who was arrested at the Sudanese embassy two years ago to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. "Elective office is an extension of how to make a freer, safer, fairer world." >>> Or is it an extension of how to help make the world Muslim?

Rep. Ellison should have no fear of the truth about Islam being spoken. Instead he should welcome every opportunity to prove the truth of his faith.

No reason to comment. The truth about Ellison and his religion won't be allowed to be told.

Stories about persecution of Muslims appear in the media after every episode of Islamic Terrorism........

McCarthyistic?!... is Keith Ellison really trying to remind everyone that McCarthy was right about communists in the government?

If only Muslims like Ellison could get as worked up about actual acts and attempted acts of terror as they do about their co-religionists being called out on it, maybe they'd have a shred of credibility.
