The Vikings' Bill Musgrave has tutored a lot of NFL quarterbacks and likes Webb's composure and quickness.

Musgrave likes Webb as a QB, but Judd and Chip don't. They think he's better suited to be a WR. Hmmm... I'll go with Musgrave on this one.

I agree. Before the season started Judd and Chip made it sound like Webb couldn't carry Spurgen Wynn's jockstrap. When we finally got to see him it was clear that Webb already had more poise and a feel for the game than Jackson ever had. I don't know if he'll ever be a starter but he didn't look too bad back there. With a little seasoning, who knows?

Please no. Do not let this organization trick you into believing that they have found the next franchise QB from within. The NFL is a QB league and a tall, pocket passer with a good brain and accurate arm is what wins games. You also have to have an offensive line to block. We need to trade for Carson Palmer or Draft another QB other than Cam Newton and attempt to stabilize the QB position. Its really a crapshoot but we need to take one. Webb will have flashes of greatness but there is no sustainable success possible. This team needs to have success this season to validate the stadium that should and will be built. If Minnesotan's want to be a major viable city in the US and have an economic future, we will keep the Vikings.

Thanks Sid for all you do. I enjoy your work. You are loyal to your friends and a bit of a homer, nothing is wrong with that!

It's good to see most of the Gophers coaches got new jobs. I bet they are glad to move on.

remember the scrambler fran tarkenton???...i think joe webb resembles him...he may make games interesting for the vikes, but i don't see him taking them to the SB...maybe he will though, tarkenton did, but he never won a SB & lost 3 i believe...joe kapp lost one also...good luck...

I know we haven't seen much of Webb, but I swear he doesn't have that "deer in the headlights" look like T-Jack seemed to have.

You wonder if by week 14 the Star Trib will have a photo of Musgrave besides of the same Falcons pic they keep using...

Thats right, keep trying to convince the homers that Joe Webb should be the starting QB next season and do not go out and get a quality QB in free agency or through the draft. That is exactly what we want -signed the Bears , Packers and Lions!!!

What the heck does Musgrave know??? He wasn't able to take the Falcons past the first round of the playoffs last season despite having the best record in the NFC and home field throughout the playoffs. What a joke, the vikings ALWAYS seem to find cast-off coaches and players that are all too familiar with underachieving and losing!!!
