I think we see a team that has been playing at 110+ for the last month, expecting a talent boost at the deadline. When that didn't happen a let down occurs...This team has pulled together a couple of times this season now its needed again..Good luck guys.

Headhunting is criminal and fighting - another form of head pummeling- should be outlawed. The sequelae? See "Hockey Brawler Paid Price, With Brain Trauma" in today's NYTimes at http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/03/sports/hockey/03fighter.html?hp Why should anyone encourage or tolerate behavior that causes chronic traumatic encephalopathy in athletes?

Why dont they just ban this guy from the league? I love a good physical hockey game and I enjoy and understand the fighting aspect. But some loser out to seriously hurt guys is not acceptable. Once again, I miss not having a guy on our bench that can stick up for us. Can PMB and Spurgeon take being crushed ten months out of the year? I wish they would take away a bunch of the padding these guys wear. So if they are going to hit someone brutally hard, they know they might also get hurt. Right now, some of the guys are incased in body armour. Being big, fast and strong, then pad them up, equals a lot of injuries.

He should get no less than 20 games. But then again it's Colin Campbell.

Bettman is to blame for players like Trevor Gillies even being on an NHL roster. There are too many teams and not enough talent, so they sign criminals on skates to fill "roles". I love physical, hard nosed hockey... but mix in some offensive ability with that toughness. These "enforcers" bring nothing to the table and it's turning this historic and honorable game into MMA on ice.

Gillies is a back street goon, plain and simple. He is a joke and should be banned from any hockey league.
