don't draft DE or DT with no 12 the vikes need OL or DB more! the vikes have 9 DT and DE total on the team. but the vikes secondary with terrible and as well as blocking for the rush.

I'm hoping Frazier is kidding regarding drafting DL/DE in the first rd. The only way that happens is if Fairely or Dareus falls which I doubt. Drop down and get Pouncy recouping the 3rd pick fiasco. Call Bellicheat and ask if he wants AD for a 1st #17 & 2nd #33. Doubt it but worth it. Rebuild the O-line and use Booker, Gerhart, Harvin and sign Portis for cheap.

the vikes really need to improve their secondary, they've had big problems with their secondary for years now and never really fixed it. they need taller, faster cornerbacks and safety's, they always get burned by the other teams passing game!! how can they not see this problem year after year!! fix the secondary and offensive line first, then the D-line. also, with so many teams needing a quarterback, the vikes really should grab the best QB available with their first pick in the draft, i'd love to see them get ryan mallet but he'll most likely be gone before the vikes pick. I just hope frazier and spielman work well together and get all the right players that they really need the most and improve everything that they already have.

vikingjim 77 mallett will be there at pick 12,hell he probably will fall to the 2nd round because of rumors.i would love to have him to he has the most accurate arm and the strongest.he is a giant of a man to.how about this take julio jones the 6-4 wr with 42 vertical and 4.37 40 speed at pick 12 then take mallet, locker or andy dalton with 2nd round pick which ever one falls hows that for improving our passing game.resign sidney and lets play...

i say NO to defense in the 1st because Prince A. and Patrick Peterson will be gone ..i say if Julio Jones is still there take him , and take Jake Locker in the 2nd because Ryan Mallet has the making to be a ryan leaf type and if u go threw Lockers college career he never had a solid wr oh and his stats r similar to 1 brett favre .could do worse..just dnt get capernick he is just like webb .

is there a position other than running back for which we do not have to draft?

drewman3414..I agree with you, julio jones is awesome!! the best WR at the combine, he's incredible, would love for the vikes to get him if he's still on the board when they pick. mallet, locker and dalton are great QB picks too. I'd still like to see sidney stay, but he really seems like he wants to look around first, julio jones is lightning fast and would run circles around sidney, having both of them would be awesome, but unlikely.

@ code3gt: CRAZY talk. The only way I would ever part with Peterson is a trade very similar to the Herschel Walker trade. Other than that I wouldn't touch it. The only ones worth spending a 1st rd on is Fairely, Dareus, Peterson, Prince or now maybe J. Jones if we part ways with Berrian and Rice signs with another team. Other than that we need to concentrate on O line. Even trade up, grab an OL later in the round. Since the DL's are so deep we can worry about filling the DL need in the 4th or later rounds.

I've said it before, so I apologize for repeating myself, especially since the statement is obvious, but picking a second-round talent in round 1 doesn't make the guy a better player. Opinions will probably change, but as of now, Gabbert seems to be the only QB prospect worth considering at #12, and he'll be gone by then. No OL is considered a lock to go that high (Solder might), and the likelihood of a top DB being available at #12 went from remote to nonexistent when Amukamara ran a 4.37 at the combine. However, there are a half-dozen (maybe more!) d-linemen who could fit into the top dozen or so picks, so if the Vikings stick at number 12, that may be their best option.
