Dont you trade the UFA's for the same reason he said he did not add anybody, if a team will give you second or third round pick for a fourth line center in his own words wouldnt you do it if You are preaching stocking the cupboard and building the future. The left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing here. Fletcher is talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Richards said after the game they played hard in the 3rd the problem was they weren't there the first two, then Zanon says we thought they might make a deal but they didn't this doesn't sound like a team that believes they have all they need.Your playing short handed with Koivu hurt and meitts and chuck contributing nothing. You needed to do something and you didn't Fletch.

I always read / hear comments from other teams fans about how knowledgeable Minnesota hockey fans are. Then anytime you read the story / blog comments or forums I almost laugh out loud and know that that theory is completely out the window. Can someone on here tell me exactly what was available that actually would have helped this team? And what is it we'd have used to get that help? I doubt it.

Are those three stiffs and some Euro unknown what you call "depth" at the goalie position??? Please. Khudobin NEVER got a fair shake here--not last year, not this year. The guy's going to be a stud somewhere else. Then again, maybe Mikko Lehtonen can contribute 50 points to Houston's campaign next year, like he did for Providence in '10. That would be a real steal, huh? Whatever. I know, I know, there are some of you that actually think Nick Leddy for Cam Barker was a GOOD trade, and that resigning James Shepard was a savvy move, and that Fletch in the next coming of Christ, but in the real world...

@Bobo How many of Borat's games did you watch when he played in Houston? There's been a lot over the years, but I bet you're just basing your whole opinion of him on the 5 nhl games you've seen. His 5 nhl games should overshadow him being beyond streaky in Houston? Sorry, but I'll believe the management who is at every game in Houston to figure out Borat isn't the next Hasek. Lehtonen's 50 points would be tops on the Aeros this year, but I guess that's the opposite of upgrade or something? Everybody knows the Barker trade was a mistake. I bet your negativity won't allow you to believe the Spurgeon signing was savvy, eh? Dangit Fletch! Why'd you have to give a contract to the kid who has been one of our best Dmen the past couple months despite making the least money!?

mccs, i would have bundled mikko (he's been having a lot of trouble handling the puck and staying mentally in the play imo) up with some icing for a stud center like arnot/+ pick. the wild play like a peewee team a lot. we need some size with hands & now that latendresse may be still weeks away, i'm bracing for more play like last night. yech!

I wouldn't call Arnott a stud. The guy's best years are way behind him.

Brad Richards seemed to be up for grabs from the dallas stars, could of been a nice addition. Maybe dallas did'nt want to risk playing against him in the playoffs? I still believe something could of been done.

I agree with Fletcher's decision not to trade pending free agents. Hopefully the Wild can still make the playoffs and then you never know.

I don't disagree with the concept of not trading ufa's, but standing pat with a team that struggles to hit the net is NOT OK. With Miko out for a few weeks we NEEDED to add some offense and Fletch let Brad Boyes escape to Buffalo for a 2nd round pick. He's a center which we NEED, he's a sniper which we NEED, and is a plus 11 this year. He also has only one more year at $4mil so it wasn't exactly a long term comittment. Very disappointed in you Chuck
