Cody Almond was called up to help. Meanwhile, Wild players, and their coach, are confident they can "find a way."

Mister Know it all says: This game against Detroit should give the fans an idea on whether or not they can play a strong team game and let Backstrom see the puck, that does not require that the Wild have more offensive skill then Detroit and gives the team the best chance to win... I am actually looking forward to seeing this particular game. I don't want to see Backstrom steal the game from Detroit, I want to see the Wild do what it takes because Detroit is on NBC and they should bring close to an A game

I think it would be best if we traded Burns away and really pushed to get Mike "My Man Crush" Modana back where he belongs, right here in MN!

I would trade Koivu, top prospect and high draft pick for evengi Melkin. Chemistry with Crosby not good plus knee sutgery for mallkin makes this possible.

Mister Know it all says:It is sad that the Wild were not smart enough to make things work out so you have the legend Mike Modono play here. Circumstances were not right. Instead we can cheer him on in the playoffs so we have somebody to watch while the playoffs are going on, I guess we can watch the Devils as well

Is it possible when a player gets injured in the NHL we can find out what actually happened to him. I understand if he is going to be able to play with the injury. Then it makes sense not to specify, as other teams will go after the weakness. But if a player like Koivu is out because the hand is broken, then just let everyone who follows the team know. A simple xray will show a break. If it is ligament damage then an MRI. Either way, let everyone know if he is out for the long term.

marcnol: Koivu's injury and the status of that injury have been posted numerous times, you just need to read. Check out Russo's blog, Russo's twitter, the hard copy of the paper or the other stories on the internet. I'll help you though, but only because I know how difficult the intertubes can be for some. Finger injury. It sounds serious but we won't know more until Monday.
