Why is she making any trips outside of this country? She's complaining that something needs to be done to cut the growing deficit she voted to increase. SO, why is she not staying at home and leaving military trips and military matters to those who understand military trips and military matters? McCollum, lead by example and stop the wasteful vacation trips at taxpayer expense.

McCollum is really going above and beyond the call of duty making this trip -- WOW! Between al Qaeda being there and the country in complete political turmoil Yemen is a place that could be the next Somalia which would be a disaster for the U.S. She's got guts to go to one of the most dangerous places on earth to represent our country and speak truth to a dictorship.

Funny. When the tea party stood up they called them names. I wonder who's side they are on?

"McCollum has ties to Yemen because of her role in foreign aid as a member of the House Appropriations Committee." -- What part of that is difficult to understand? She is doing exactly what the US government should be doing in that part of the world: providing support and encouragement for positive, democratic change. Where were those of you who now criticize Rep. McCollum when Bush and Cheney were committing far more money and human lives to invading Afghanistan and Iraq? Yeah, I know. Obama hasn't pulled out of either country. So what? That doesn't let you off the hook, hypocrites.

Is that part of her job? I know wasting taxpayer money is, but this is redonkulous! Maybe Betty needs to stay at home and try to cut spending rather than give away more money we don't have.

She is supposed to be a lawmaker, not a foreign diplomat. She has no business there!
