Now they just gotta deal with the sorry dining options at the Humphrey for us Southwest flyers....the Fletcher's Wharf restaurant is overpriced AND has substandard food. And there is very little else there. This should be the next project there.
This is an good idea since most Delta flights get delayed or canceled anyways. Plenty of time to eat. Just wonder if the food delivery will get re-routed through Atlanta like most of the flights do.
As if Americans aren't lazy enough.
typical boring strib pseudo-story.
I am all for bleeding edge technology, but a iPad full of greasy finger marks from strangers, no thanks. What's wrong with current menu and dining technology? Not every single thing on earth needs a touch screen!! Sometimes print media works just fine...
"questioned whether the concession operation included sufficient representation of minorities" Smart-phones are a status symbol. Plenty of people of all races have smart phones whether they can reasonably afford them or not.
Airport restaurants have a captive audience and they know it. I would not trust any restaurant in any airport to care enough about a single passenger to actually deliver what s/he ordered correctly and on time. If I am miserably hungry enough to bring airport food on a 4 hour flight because there is no other option once I'm up in the air, I'll get it myself, thank you!
pseduo-story about pseudo-food.
As if the gates aren't messy and busy enough. Let's let a couple hundred people flying to wherever get their food delivered by a couple hundred delivery people. That makes a whole lot of sense - double pack the gates with people. And that is going to make my already miserable time at the airport better how? This is a bad idea.
ironic.. travelers want 99 dollar flights because they just dropped 10 for a beer and 6 for a slice of pizza...hahahaha
