Because the Dems need to have their convention in a state that is most crucial to win in the 2012 election, I'd say Minneapolis will come in third.

I hope they don't come at all. We have enough of them already. Dayton, Franken, Klobuchar.

isn't Target Center the first arena with a Green Roof? that'd be a good look for the DNC. Plus it'd be even cooler if they used Target Field for some of the weeks events. I'd so love this idea. I've been to Charlotte and that'd be a nice city too, but I think Minneapolis would be the a good choice for a convention, just dont use the Dome unless you take the roof off :)

To compete for events like this, this is where a new Vikings stadium is a MAJOR selling point. $160 million in exatra revenue? This should serve as a prime example where a new stadium can be very big asset.

Please pick somewhere else. We don't want it. We don't need it. The 2008 RNC convention showed us that the economic impact is dubious at best. Let someone else's city become a police state, let their streets get filled with protesters and anarchists.

Will we provide airfare? How about $200. for souvenirs? I imagine it will cost us about $10,000 for each delegate.......Then the cost of the convention itself.......Wow. Hopefully Gov. Dayton will send the bill to the "Rich"!

Yes, we need to pay for all their expenses, but if it helps our DFLers........

Streets so full of pot holes almost impossible to dive on them.Streets so narrow two cars can't pass side by side and cost of an adult beverage is higher than most cities due to all the hidden taxes. Why in the world would any sane person want to come to city.

It's Cleveland, and everyone knows it. Ohio is a must win state for the Dem's and having their convention there would surely help. It's all about politics, not who has the best venue.

doesn't being the gayest city have any bearing on the decision?
