"But under Donohue the U.S. Chamber has become a money machine and a political force to be reckoned with. Its annual budget tops $150 million." Call it what it is: Bribery.

As a local business executive, I am increasingly alienated from the US Chamber of Commerce. They seem to believe that Republicanism is by definition better for the economy. It may be better for the rich, but the economy did better under Clinton.

Donohue's partisan rhetoric is a good example of bad leadership. If he want to make a point that would be useful to the American economy, he might want to address the story circulating this week of a solar panel manufacturer in Massachusetts that has chosen to move manufacturing to China, with a loss of 800 jobs here. The owner is very clear about the reason: because the Chinese government is providing a substantial subsidy, one he simply can't ignore. Shouldn't issues like this be Donohue's #1 concern? Why spare President Hu from your tendency to spew withering criticism? Stop taking cheap shots at the President, Mr. Donohue, and focus on fixing our problems, not stirring the pot of name-calling.

The Chamber of Commerce or "THE CHAMBER' has become a joke that isn't funny.

Donohue is a complete liar. Has been for a long time. The truth or how to color the truth has been the mantra of the Chamber for years. Of course we the people don't count. Breath bad air, drink chemically laced water. This is good for you. It's best for the Chamber for you to die young, all in the name of business. Donohue is our death captain! Can you image a healthcare system lead by the true piece of evil and greed.

An undervalued renminbi is bad for the Chinese and good for Americans. In essence, China subsidizes the American consumer at the expense of their own workers. Yet this is coming to its inevitable end as inflation raises prices and wages in China. The main idea of this story outdated.

leg620, you are completely wrong. The undervalued renminbi may make goods cheaper, which can benefit consumers, but consumers need to have JOBS to spend money. The sole purpose of the undervalued renminbi is to wage economic war on the US and require jobs, i.e. economic prosperity, to be located in China, not the USA.

The "Chamber" is just a union-like organization that is running this nation and the middle class into the ground.
