Rachel, Very nice article and I think you nailed it on the head. Not only will the players revolt, but the fans will stop showing and season ticket sales for 2011-2012 will plummet. Fletcher needs to find a goalie for Sunday in hopes of a win and in hopes that Richards gets to keep his job for the 2011-2012 Season. He should of been on the phone when the two rookies were called up. They can't lose against Vancounver, even though the chances are 95% they will be decimated in the contest. As quickly as they were in the top 8, they were right back out. Wishing the Wild the best, but expecting the a 13th place finish this year. The fans in Minnesota deserve better...

"The Wild's all-time attendance mark surpassed 8 million on Friday night, which says more about Minnesota's unquenchable love for hockey"...nice job Rachel. Make sure the Wild PR Dept. sends you your check. And 18,000 Rubes keep proving P.T.Barnum right. Some have been suckers for over a decade. Knowledgable hockey people left the NHL a long time ago.

Analysis is direct and correct. Wild did put out some effort. But 'wishing' for wins without earning them, is like a kid wishing to get paid for mowing the lawn when the grass didn't get cut. Regardless, they just don't have the tools to win consistently. This is not a good hockey club. Khazhakstani Khudobin- horrible break for him in goal! It didn't decide the game though. Bottom line- limited scoring; limited winning.

I get tired of this Whinning the Wild do - espicially the announcers about bad bounces. There winning goal over Colorado early in the year was lucky, how about Stoners bounce to beat the Mighty Devils.. Bouchard/Havlat needs to do more shooting than spinning and the point men got to figure out how to get the puck on net on the power play. They had a chance to acquire Svatos - a proven scorer and Lagenbrunner aand passed - stick Clutterbuck and Broadziak on the PP and stuff the puck in the net and stop Whinning....
