I work for a local Personal Care Assistant company called Student Experience. We employ about 175 college students that work for us as PCAs in a home care setting at any given time. Many of these students are doing this in conjunction with their clinical's, fellowships, internships etc. and find that it is a great compliment to those experiences, as well as being paid. As a PCA they are able to work with a client one on one for extended durations of time which allows them to learn professional communication and boundaries while also learning direct patient care which they are able to take with them into their respective fields.
