My reaction to this film is kinder than yours although I certainly understand where you're coming from. I find Coppola's perspective to be visceral and well grounded with a keen understand of human emotion. To me, what's left just out of the frame is as interesting as what's in the frame. Although this film doesn't seem to break any new ground, I'm nevertheless looking forward to Coppola's work in the future as I believe she has much talent as a filmmaker.
