DFL LEFT THEORY says that Government should provide food, medical care, and unemployment checks to those that can't affords it. This is the proper way to raise the standard of living for the poor....since capitalism takes advantage of the simple minded.

"Republican lawmakers, however, say the shift may benefit the state financially in the short term, but is not good long-term policy." Oh really??? That is exactly the strategy that Tim Pawlenty used for EIGHT YEARS. I'm sure they didn't like how he governed, right? Right? *crickets*

Other reports say this will cost 1.4 billion with the feds paying 1.2 or it, leaving Minn with the other 200 million. Does this now mean we have a 6.4 billion dollar deficit? If so, Dayton's been in office one day and he is already spending money we don't have.

If you didn't lock up your wallet before the election, it's too late now! Hope all those rich democrats start breaking into their trust funds and start paying their taxes so this can be paid for! Those that aren't rich should just send in any extra that they have to start covering the costs of the programs they knew were coming, too!
