The Swarm's Joe Cinosky tirelessly coaches and promotes lacrosse, and oh yeah, is one of the best players in the world. He has a gold medal to prove it.

I love the way lacrosse in expanding not only in the USA and Canada but internationally as well. The Lacock Lacrosse Club is a good example of how the sport of lacrosse's heritage is spanning borders. http://lacrosselacock.bravehost.com/

Thanks to Bob Timmons for doing a story on Joe Cinosky and even mentioning the Minnesota Swarm. Though the Swarm start season seven with an average attending fan base of more than 10,000 per game at the Xcel Energy Center, the Strib tends to just provide scores in small agate type with little recap. Might this be the start of some real attention to the team and the sport? I hope so.

It is nice to see coverage the sport. Beyond pros like Joe who come to the state to play, what is cool about the sport here is the grassroots efforts drive and fostered by the community - youth associations and nonprofits like Homegrown Lacrosse - that are building the sport one player at at time.
