Shouldn't someone from Medicare start an investigation of this Healthcare Company who is receiving money but not fulfilling on their contract? Where did the money go. Another Medicare fraud by business.

Without government help, many patients wouldn't have ozegen. The insistance that all services be provided by proivate contractor rather than a government owned supplier exacerbates this situation and is unnecessarily costly.

Actually, contrary to the assertion of truthurts, the payments to vendors by Medicare illustrates not what is wrong with business, but with government intervention in medicine. Any transaction that leaves out the consumer is bound to lead to waste and overcharging. It is the proverbial $900 toilet seat or hammer, for those of you who remember some of the scandals in military contracting from several decades ago. Let the free market set the price, not government bureaucrats. If you think Medicare is getting burned, wait until Obamacare is the law of the land.

Goverment isn't going to be able to control costs by just cutting reimbursement to private providers. So far they are getting a "fail" on controlling costs.

"A provision of the 2005 Deficit Reduction Act authorized oxygen suppliers to receive 36 months of payments for equipment rental and service, but they would have to provide repairs and service for 60 months and afterward give the equipment to the patient."......In 2005 there was a republican house of representatives, a republican senate and a republican president!!! Guess who screwed it up?!?!?!

Put the government in charge of paying for anything and it will always, must always drive the cost through the roof. The problem is not the private companies, but rather inane, moronic, bureaucrats just stupidly writing out checks to pay for the service. Nobody who pays their own costs for anything, EVER in the history of mankind paid ten times the value of what something actually costs. Only our blessed government would write a check for a nine hundred dollar toilet seat. Then (again because of government not market economics) when our government picks a handful of "approved" vendors, market factors are taken out of the picture and abuse starts. This will happen over and over and liberals will still never learn. It's the government stupid.
