I truly hope they earn it......the taxpayers have shelled out alot of money and the results are dismal at best so far.

Generally, football is considered a revenue generating sport, so I doubt too much tax payer money is going into those contracts. If there is outside money paying the coaches, it is coming from boosters.

$300M per year is now the "low end" of the coordinators' compensation in D-I. On the high end, Gus Malzahn agreed to stay at Auburn for perhaps $1.2 million. Former DC Ted Roof (at Auburn) is probably earning $600M there. I was hoping one of Kill's two coordinators would get the NIU head job, and make it possible for Kill to get someone he liked with national recognition.
