Some suggestions for Best Buy.... (a)Hire competent sales people for your floor who actually know something about what they are selling. Often times they seem clueless to me....(b)Stop pushing 'extended warranties'. That is a complete turnoff to most people, and actually keeps a lot of people from coming into your stores to shop in the first place....(c)take a proactive stance on giving customers fast and efficient resolution of defective products.

I'm sure there's many people like me that would shop Amazon or an online retailer to get better deals and pay no taxes. I hate walking into Worst Buy already feeling like a thief from the get go. Their extended warranties are also a joke..

1) There's nothing I need, 2) US consumers are putting 10% in savings, not at retail stores.

You can have all the promotions you want, but they will not work if people aren't working and disposable income is declining.

Are these the "Green Shoots" the Govt was telling us about?

Every time I walk into the store close to me, it seems like they have re-arranged the store and I have to troll the store to find stuff.

Ooooppps...looks like they will be looking to move even more jobs overseas to help make up for the profit loss. Cause you know the real goal is to make sure the execs never have to take a cut in pay. And as for the average worker...they really don't care.

Everything at Best Buy is overpriced. I bought a stainless steel range hood at BB last week,it was $135. The exact same range hood was available on Amazon.com for $70 with free shipping and no tax. I returned the hood at BB and ordered it on BB. Thats just one recent example.

I know this is not going to be popular to say and I am sure it isn't the only reason why their sales are down, but... I didn't buy anything from them or Target since they gleefully put money in Michelle Bachmann's campaign pocket. I purchased my new big screen elsewhere, even though I paid slightly more for it. I didn't picket outside when these companies made their decision about where they wanted to spend their campaign dollars, and it was their decision and I support their right to have it since the Supreme Court says they can. I however, showed my displeasure with my pocket book and I'm sure I wasn't alone.

"Ooooppps...looks like they will be looking to move even more jobs overseas to help make up for the profit loss." Ahhh....Best Buy has over 170,000 employees working in the U.S. and they are aggressively opening new markets in Mexico, Canada, Europe, Turkey and China. What jobs are you talking about? Sounds like a generic talking point based on the actions of many other corporations.
