The former Vikings backup QB is now doing the same with the Giants, and he's picked up valuable tips from each.

Another great column. Sid's connections allow him to get some quotes that nobody else in this town gets.

shouldn't Rubio's numbers be better? I'm not seeing how this kid is going to help so much next year. I feel a huge letdown coming for wolves fans next year, since everyone seems to be pinning the resurrection of this team on his being here with this core.

Ricky Rubio does not sound like he is all that...

I've to agree. Sid's connections allow him to get some quotes that nobody in this town wants.

How about asking Sage questions like; "What did you think about coach Childress?" "Did you think he gave you a fair chance at being the #2 this year?" "What was your reaction when you heard Childress fired?" "Did you feel jacked around by Childress and all his QB shenanigans after you were brought in?" And finally; "Do you think giving coach Childress the entire 'Hogan's Heroes' series on DVD helped seal your fate in being traded to the Giants?" Stribquiring minds want to know!

Sid gets a lot of quotes that no one else gets, but gets them at the price of his journalistic integrity. Asking only puffball questions and/or refusing to ask questions the interviewees might not want to answer guarantees him a place in their heart, but at the cost of his journalistic soul.

Sid....nobody cares about the Giants backup QB, and actually, nobody cared what Sage thought when he was a Viking on the bench.

Ricky Rubio had one of his best games this season for Regal FC Barcelona on Wednesday night. Playing a team-high 28 minutes, Rubio scored 10 points to go along with 10 assists, four rebounds and three steals in the team's 75-69 victory over Fenerbahce Ulker. Through eight games in the Euroleague, Rubio is averaging 7.3 points and 3.8 assists per game. Can this guy play for the Gophers?

If Ricky Rubio played in the NBA, who many points would he average a game?...3,4, or 5? He don't sound like a good player, no?

You guys are pretty funny with your Rubio bashing. You can wish all you want that he will suck, but he has already proven to be a great player. He will do just fine in the NBA. No question.
