Some of the changes the Star Tribune has made this year have prompted mixed reactions from the community. Even so, we want to hear about them.

Nancy Barnes Editor, Do You ever oublish any old Historical stories that are signifigant;I have used up all the info to find a artical likely written about the former Gen- eral & President Ulysses S. Grant vi-sit in 1883 in MN to see the opening of the N.W.Railroad passage.He had went as far as St.Cloud,MN.& on His return stopped at Anoka.MN. to visit all the Civil War Vets of the area & gave ainvitation to all of them to come celebrate with Him at the Lafayette Hotel on Lake Minnetonka for 1 week.A vet John Blesi was given special honors to have His picture taken By Gran'ts special orders of which I have this picture in My albums.I am a 87 Yr.old nexttoMy grave & 85% blind in dir need to find someone willing to look up this story on Grants 1883 MN,visit.
