I have one of these. It does what it says on the tin. Works great and we've been using less bottled water.

Nice three-page advertisement disguised as journalism. I hope the writer and/or the Strib at least got a kickback from 3M.

dillweed: Why so negative? This is a good story about a great Minnesota company making a good, environmentally-sound product for the consumer. Sounds like a win-win-win to me.

***Great Idea from 3M*** Our tap water tastes just fine, in fact, I prefer its taste to that of bottled water. But I really like the bottles that you can take with and re-use. The convenience of having water with you without the worry about how many bottles end up in trash and how much energy it takes to make the bottles and transport them all over. Even if the typical bottles are recycled, it still takes energy to transport them to the recycler. So, this is a better solution.

What a useless article. Just exactly what substances does this filter eliminate? Fluoride? Clorine?

3M is also known for their contamination of ground water from their manufacturing over the years.

Let's try this again. Distilled water. Good. Removes free radicals. Why does this site pick and choose blogs?

3M is like Speed Queen; untouchable. Tons of stuff in the water you are drinking. See my previous.

People. There are tons of distilled water sold for baby formulas and god knows what else. We need something better?

We have some of the best water in the world coming straight out of our taps. Why are we buying bottled water or water filters that cost $42.99? Take a look at this website for more information: http://www.tapmpls.com/
