I don't care if they build it. Go ahead ...build it. Just make sure that it is a 100% PRIVATE STADIUM. Where 100% of its building costs get rolled into the price of each game ticket. And 0.00% of costs going anywhere else.

I don't understand why the Vikings can't spend a couple of hundred million (or more) to renovate the heck out of the Metrodome. I can envision a ton that could be done there, including adding on. If you don't want to be indoors, take the stupid dome off and a row of upper deck seats and put in a second story of suites. Connect a hotel to it or something. Put in more bathrooms and concessions and widen the hallways. There is plenty that could be done for about half of what a new stadium would cost.

...but only AFTER the Wilf's have sold the Vikings to the citizens of Minnesota... The only thing better about the GB Packers then the Vikings is that the team is publicly owned.

let them build it. My life will continue if they leave but I am tired of being threatened.

Me thinks it's time to get over sentiment and unload this under performing asset.

Marlin has the same wrong headed reasoning as many do. People from all over the state and nearby states would not use his swimming pool. The Vikings would pay for a good portion of a new stadium. There would be many people employed in the building of a stadium and the building of a Target field while apparently I guess I helped fund I noticed nothing coming out of my wallet. I really don't care for narrow minded people like many who responded to the poll who would rather repeat the North Star or Baltimore scenario.

81 home games in baseball per year. 8 home games in football per year.

Isn’t it special that David St. Peter and Mike Opat are encouraged by the poll results on Target Field. I guess if I could afford to go to a game at Rich Man Field I would be encouraged also. Once again it’s the rich minority that are being heard and not the rest of us average Minnesotans. If the Vikings want a new stadium let them pay for it themselves. No PUBLIC money for stadiums!!!

I forgot about The Arizona Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams. Maybe someday we will have the Minnesota Dolphins at a much higher cost than it would be for us just to keep our team as it is.

It's called Viking FANS buying STOCK in their own PRIVATE SECTOR Corporation which then owns the team.
